Use this skill whenever the user asks to clean, prune, sanitize, deduplicate, review, repair, or periodically maintain files like user.md, memory.md, memories.md, profile.md, preferences.md, or agent memory notes. Also trigger it proactively when an agent cannot write or update memory because the memory file is too long, a memory budget or context limit is exceeded, memory storage reports full, a memory update is rejected, duplicate or conflicting memories accumulate, or memory appears polluted by outdated project details, one-off task notes, stale plans, or accidental conversation residue. The skill reads the current memory files, keeps only stable global user context and durable preferences, gives cleanup recommendations automatically, applies edits only with appropriate user authorization, and preserves recoverable backups.
