Split screen formats dominate comparison content, reaction videos, sports analysis, and tutorial demonstrations — and they have historically required timeline editors to manually crop, position, and synchronize two video streams into a single frame. Split Screen Video Maker replaces that workflow with a single instruction: describe your layout and drop your clips.
Use Cases
- Before/After Product Demos — Place the unedited footage on the left and the finished product on the right. Synchronized playback ensures viewers see the transformation in real time. Add text labels, adjust the split position, and export in the aspect ratio required by your platform.
- Competitor Comparison Videos — Side-by-side software demos, feature comparisons, pricing breakdowns. Each panel plays independently with its own audio track mixed to balanced levels, or both muted with a voiceover layer describing the comparison.
- Sports and Performance Analysis — Two athletes, two technique approaches, or the same athlete's before/after training footage synchronized to the same timestamp. The split line can be animated to sweep across the frame for dramatic reveal moments.
- Reaction and Commentary — Creator reaction panel alongside the source content being discussed. The creator's webcam feed occupies one panel; the video being reacted to occupies the other. Exported in vertical 9:16 for Shorts or horizontal 16:9 for YouTube.
- Multi-Angle Interview Coverage — Two or four camera angles from the same interview, synchronized to audio, presented in a grid layout that gives the viewer more visual context than a single-angle cut.
How It Works
Describe your layout: "horizontal split, clip A on top, clip B on bottom, 3-pixel white divider, both clips start at their beginning, synchronized playback, export 16:9 1080p." Upload both clips. NemoVideo handles the alignment, audio mixing, and rendering. For four-panel layouts, specify each quadrant's clip assignment and the grid proportions.
